Chris Isaak continues U.S. tour into the fall

Though Chris Isaak toured all summer in support of his first live release, he shows no signs of slowing down this fall.

In fact, Chris Isaak tickets are available for seven gigs this October and seven more in December!

Additional tour dates have been added for Oct. 9 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville; Oct. 13 at the Paramount Theatre in Austin; Oct. 17 at the House of Blues in Houston and more. Check out more of his tour dates here.

“Chris Isaak Live at the Fillmore” was released in June. It features 17 of his songs that were filmed at San Francisco’s Fillmore in October 2008.

Presently, Chris Isaak is in Europe touring, but he will be back here in the U.S. for a summer run in July, August and September. He starts this tour at Filene Center at Wolf Trap in Vienna, VA, and ends up in Phoenix, Ariz., at the Celebrity Theater in September.

Isaak is punctuating this world tour with the simultaneous release of his first live album from a past performance, Chris Isaak Live At The Fillmore. The CD features the show at the San Francisco venue back in 2008.

Apparently, Isaak was bowing to audience demand, stating, “The one thing I always hear from my fans when we visit after my live shows is, ‘Why don’t you do a live record? So folks, here it is. And when you get sick of listening to me live in your living room, come on down and see me and the boys in concert.”

Well, you heard the man! Get your Chris Isaak tickets and pencil him and the boys in for one of your evenings this summer. Enjoy!

Chris Isaak Extending Mr. Lucky Tour

Chris Isaak announced that he will be returning to the States for an additional two month stretch following an extensive run in Europe and 2009’s “Mr. Lucky Tour.”

The tour will run from July 12-August 25, 2010. Opening act for Isaak’s US shows is Marc Broussard. For a complete list of dates, visit chrisisaak.com.

2009’s “Mr. Lucky” was Chris Isaak’s first studio release in seven years. The album showed six weeks on the Billboard 200, peaking at No. 29.

Posted to his website, Isaak comments, “For better or worse, the songs on this album do reflect where I am at in my life right now in one way or another. I couldn’t define where that is exactly, but suffice to say when I hear these songs, they all make sense to me.”

Chris Isaak lands on Gil De’s Top 10 of ‘09

Chris Isaak took the No. 3 spot on Gil de’s Top 10 of ’09 with “Mr. Lucky.”

In his first effort in over seven years, Isaak dabbles all over several genres, according to Gil de, pointing out his duets with Trisha Yearwood and Michelle Branch that what “…appear to be marketing maneuvers end up being far better than that.”

The top spot on the list went to U2’s “No Line on the Horizon,” and Isaak beat out “White Lies for Dark Times” by Ben Harper & The Relentless7.
